THE CRUSADE OF THE FAITHLESS
A PRAISE OF INTOLERANCE
With Sabrina Mascia and Andrea Meloni

The image of a new crusade, neither ideological nor confessional, that sows hatred and waves the banner of intolerance, is the inspiration from which the writing and staging of “THE CRUSADE OF THE FAITHLESS – A Praise of Intolerance” emerges.

he steps of this “march” of idiosyncrasy are taken by a man and a woman, two wandering proselytes, radicalized intolerants. They are a sort of remake of the original human couple, Adam and Eve in a Western style, renouncing, scourging, and cynical. The target of their personal crusade is contemporary Western culture and its prejudices, which are struck transversely by the scythe of absolute annoyance. In the name of intolerance, they spare nothing and no one.

With Sabrina Mascia and Andrea Meloni.
Texts by Andrea Meloni.

SOTTOSUONI: 10 YEARS OF INDEPENDENT MUSIC IN QUARTU FROM 1995 TO 2004
Hosts: Davide Catinari and Claudio Loi
Guests: Giampaolo Salice, Maurizio Rocca, Carlo Addaris, Mauro Cossiga, Mauro Vacca, Guido Solinas

SOTTOSUONI
travel notes from the submerged world of emerging music

Sottosuoni has been a sort of generational incubator for young artists, representing the ultimate contest dedicated to emerging music between 1995 and 2009.
The project, born and long supported by the municipality of Quartu, has become a true reference for many bands that, thanks to Sottosuoni, have had the opportunity to perform on national stages and receive feedback that, in several cases, has led to their first record deals.
In its 15 years of existence, the event has featured over 500 bands from all over Sardinia, helping to legitimize the very existence of a vibrant and competitive island scene, also thanks to media coverage in major television and print outlets that contributed to the dissemination of the Sottosuoni project.

The meeting on Sunday, September 1st at Sa Dom’e Farra in Quartu aims to recount the three decades of the festival’s existence through the testimonies of the protagonists, as well as to develop a discussion on contemporary emerging music in relation to the local territory and the opportunities offered by technology for the production of musical projects.

Speakers will include: Davide Catinari, Claudio Loi, Giampaolo Salice, Maurizio Rocca, Carlo Addaris, Mauro Cossiga, Mauro Vacca, Guido Solinas

ANTONELLA GREGORIO
presents
THE DESTINY OF LOVE

The existential revolution of Antonella Gregorio after forty-five days in a coma.

The author presents her autobiographical book “The Destiny of Love” (Le Lune, 2020) for a meeting under the sign of awareness and rebirth.

An event that highlights the splendid and emotional autobiographical literary debut of the writer, who shares her story after an experience that is both tragic and enlightening: the coma and her awakening, from which a revolutionary existential rebirth flourishes. A true and touching story that emphasizes how the unexpected, even in its most dramatic forms, can still carry a decisive message for new awareness and personal choices.

At the center of the work is Antonella, a young Sardinian manager working in Milan in the sales sector of a multinational company. One evening, on her birthday, she goes out to celebrate, but something happens, and she wakes up in the hospital after forty-five days. Antonella, like any unaware person, chases a destiny that does not belong to her. Her life, seemingly so rewarding, seems to have given her everything she could desire. But this life is not her destiny, and she, still unaware, perseveres through her willpower. Only the coma, which comes suddenly, stops her. When she awakens, she has no memories. The recovery is difficult; she does not recognize her friends and colleagues, and she no longer feels emotions. But in reality, what seems like yet another defeat evolves into positive energy, allowing her to fully take charge of her life and understand the true path of her destiny.

ANTONELLA GREGORIO was born in Rovigo in 1964 and moved to Sardinia at the age of 5. After a brief period as a saxophonist in the Dorian Gray band, she graduated in Political Science and began working for a multinational company in Milan. After the coma and her recovery, she returns to the island with a crucial existential purpose: to follow the destiny of love to align with the path of happiness.

LAURA CAPOSSELE
FROM GIRL TO WOMAN
Menstrual Education Workshop

Led by Laura Capossele, Midwife and Menstrual Educator.

To prepare girls (and their mothers and fathers) for the arrival of their first menstruation, and to accompany young women on their journey of awareness regarding their menstrual cycle. To educate about the beauty of female cyclicality.

“The value we give to menstruation is closely related to the value we give to ourselves as women” (Lara Owen).

The arrival of the first menstruation is often still a source of embarrassment, shame, and taboo today. Girls experience the ambivalence between the anticipation and joy that this moment brings, while also feeling the devaluation that is often perceived as a burden to bear for being female. It marks, on one hand, the entry into the world of women, the transition to adulthood, while on the other hand, it carries the weight of a phenomenon that is still poorly explained and not well transmitted through female knowledge from mother to daughter, which only shows the side of pain, embarrassment, and the annoying inconvenience in relation to societal rhythms. Fortunately, most mothers (though not all) today announce the arrival of menarche to their daughters in advance, which helps avoid the fear and inadequacy related to total misinformation on this topic. Nevertheless, the explanations provided by mothers often tend to be rather rushed and superficial, leaving the knowledge tied to the mere practical act, missing out on all the positive aspects of being women, how our bodies work, and how we can support ourselves in feeling good.

We women are cyclical, connected to the moon, “moody” indeed, which means being always different, always new, unstable, and even vulnerable. The rhythms of nature are always cyclical: seasons, lunar phases, nothing is static! However, menstruation is often associated with seemingly only negative aspects: physical and emotional discomfort. But from pain, we can reach resources and power. The immense power of feeling the gift of generating life, but also new ideas, projects, wisdom, and strength. Being able to know our bodies and how we are made, how we function, our menstrual cycle, and the physical and energetic spiritual dimensions connected to it, is a huge opportunity to enjoy our cyclical nature and fully benefit from being a woman.

LAURA CAPOSSELE is a menstrual educator and midwife. After practicing in various fields (hospital, outpatient, home care), she chose to be an independent midwife, according to the maieutics that enlightened her at the age of 16 about what would be her mission. She is among the founders of Custodi del Femminino, a national network of professionals in the female and maternal-child field, including menstrual educators, birth keepers, and holistic trainers. She accompanies and supports women in paths of cycle harmonization, menstrual coaching, and childbirth processing; she organizes workshops and themed meetings on cyclicality, sexuality, menarche, menopause, and parenthood.
