On the occasion of New Year’s Eve, the highly anticipated concert by Stewart Copeland, founder and drummer of the historic band The Police, will light up Largo Carlo Felice. The event at the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025 will take place in 4 squares of the city: Largo Carlo Felice, Piazza San Giacomo, Piazza Garibaldi, and Piazza Santa Croce, for a total of 3 days of celebrations starting on December 30th.
Cagliari is preparing to welcome an iconic figure of world music like Stewart Copeland, who will perform in Largo Carlo Felice with a twenty-nine piece orchestra on December 31st. The format for all three evenings, in all four squares, is the same: it starts at 9 PM with background music, at 10:30 PM a live concert, at 11:55 PM the countdown and toast, at 12:15 AM the conclusion of the live concert, at 12:20 AM a DJ set, and at 1:30 AM the end of the celebrations.
Tuesday December 31st:
- Largo Carlo Felice – background music (at 9 PM), live concert of Stewart Copeland in “Police Deranged for Orchestra” (at 10:30 PM) and DJ set (at 12:20 AM) of Andrea Massidda and Pablo Sole.
- Piazza Santa Croce – background music (at 9 PM), live concert of Smash Hits! (at 10:30 PM) and DJ set (at 12:20 AM) of Zimbra
- Piazza San Giacomo – background music (at 9 PM), live concert of Mr fantasy (at 10:30 PM) and DJ set (at 12:20 AM) of Michele Sun

Monday December 30th Nonis Swing Quartet will entertain Piazza Garibaldi starting at 6:30 PM. Meanwhile, on Wednesday, January 1st at 5:00 PM, there will be a puppet show titled Anima e cuore, in Piazza Garibaldi, organized by Is Mascareddas.

• Water bottles and other liquid containers
• Animals of any kind and size
• Professional audio/video recording equipment (except for smartphones and small action cameras)
• Flammable and/or explosive materials of any kind and nature
• Hazardous and/or blunt objects

Note: In case of rain, bringing umbrellas of any size is prohibited; therefore, it is recommended to equip yourself with a raincoat or K-way to attend the show. All categories of items not mentioned in this list are allowed inside the Event Area in Largo Carlo Felice, unless otherwise indicated by the staff and law enforcement present at the entrance. Practical examples of commonly allowed items include cigarettes, lighters, headphones, handbags/waist bags/clutches/backpacks
Authorized personnel from the Organizer reserve the right to confiscate unauthorized items, without guaranteeing their safekeeping for the entire duration of the event.
The entire event that will bid farewell to 2024 and welcome the New Year has been organized by the Municipality of Cagliari, which, in collaboration with the Tourism Department of the Sardinia Region, has made available to residents and visitors, free of charge, an international event featuring an artist like Stewart Copeland, who will be preceded by talented local artists.
