I Hate My Village

I Hate My Village was formed in 2018 from the collaboration between Fabio Rondanini on drums (Calibro 35, Afterhours) and Adriano Viterbini on guitar (Bud Spencer Blues Explosion and many others). United by their love for African music—both having toured with Bombino and Rokia Traoré—the two began experimenting together, jotting down ideas and eventually recording with producer Marco Fasolo (Jennifer Gentle).
Later, they brought in Alberto Ferrari (Verdena) as lead vocalist, shaping a new and unique sound in the Italian music scene. This culminated in their self-titled debut album, “I Hate My Village” (2019, La Tempesta International), which was met with enthusiastic praise from both critics and the public. The album’s success was reflected in multiple reissues and a highly successful tour that took them across Italy.
Also in 2019, they released “I Hate My Bonus Track“, an EP featuring three new songs and a live version of their single “Tony Hawk of Ghana“. In 2021, they returned with another EP, “Gibbone“, along with a remix of Tony Hawk of Ghana featuring Cal and Ice.
On March 21, 2024, the band released a new single, “Water Tanks“, followed by “Artiminime“. These tracks anticipate their upcoming album, “Nevermind The Tempo”, set for release on May 17, 2024, via Locomotiv Records.
