Dub FX feat. Mr. Woodnote

Dub FX is the embodiment of independent music. In 2006, Benjamin Stanford, born in Melbourne, set off for Europe with a simple plan: to live in a van, travel the world, and perform on the streets.
Today, Dub FX has sold over one hundred thousand records, performed at the world’s biggest festivals, surpassed 150 million views on YouTube, and gathered over 600,000 fans on Facebook. After countless street performances around the world, people began filming him with their phones and sharing the videos on social media. These videos perfectly capture his original live-looping style, allowing the audience to appreciate the complex sound layers that make up his one-man band show.
In terms of lyrics, Dub FX is authentic, with a positive, self-affirming message. In 2016, he independently released his third studio album “Thinking Clear” through his own label, Convoy, in collaboration with the German label Membran. The album is an innovative mix of genres, combined with natural atmospheres, creating a holistic experience made of transcendent electronic and acoustic elements.
In July 2017, Dub FX returned to his roots with the single “Listening”, a reggae and dub-influenced track that pays homage to his early inspirations.
Mr. Woodnote is known for his extensive collaborative work, particularly with Dub FX, The Allergies, Eva Lazarus, and Lil Rhys. He gained international recognition for his extraordinary saxophone skills, showcased in famous videos such as Dub FX – “Flow” (2009, over 33 million views), “Supernova Pilot”, “Fire”, “Everyday”, and many others. Thanks to this success, Woodnote has had the opportunity to tour with his energetic music alongside Eva Lazarus and Lil Rhys, and to record four solo albums. His new album, titled “LIGNEUS”, features some of his favorite musicians and long-time collaborators. This recording is considered his most mature and complete work, with modern jazz vibes, instrumental and extended forms in the first half, followed by lively hip-hop, funk, and even garage elements in the second half of the album.
