The 9th edition of Karel Music Expo is coming back with good news: from this year we are proud to announce the new section KME MOVIE that will be part of “Resistant culture”, in order to promote independent cinema and young contemporary filmmakers through a selection of short narrative films and animation.
KME MOVIE will take place in the historical Palazzo Siotto in Genovesi Street and will be curated by the actress/director Daniela Lucato – italian but now based in Berlin – who will present the films and the attending filmmakers. During the second and third night of KME we are glad to announce the presence of the filmmaker Sebastiano Riso (Piú buio di Mezzanotte- 2014) who will attend the talk after the screenings.
All the three evenings (free entry) will start from 6 pm and will finish before the beginning of the KME concerts.
To mention some among the italian movies “Es-say” by Chiara Livia Arrigo, “Eros Kai Psychè” by Giovanni Mazzitelli and Federica Pezzullo, “Doppia Luce” by Laszlo Barbo, “Messaggi da fuori” by Alessio Pasqua and “Dopo la notte noi” by Simone Saponieri,
Among the films from the world we will present “I,22″ by Duncan Mc Dowell (Canada), Moirè by Estefanía Cortés/Juancho Bañuelos (Spain), “Jarwie” by Rafael Rebolledo (Mexico) and “Cuco” (Wake Up) by Jason Tadeu (Brasil).
KME Movie will continue after the concerts at the Teatro Civico where a selection of animation films will be screened in collaboration with Skepto Film Festival.
All the films will be screened in original language.
