L’edizione del 2015 chiude la tetralogia dei colori presenti nella Ruota della Medicina della nazione Lakota, oggetto simbolo dell’unità attraverso la diversità, in cui bianco, nero, rosso e giallo rappresentano la molteplicità delle esperienze umane attraverso un percorso secolare.
Il mondo emotivo che riconduce alle differenti declinazioni del colore giallo é caratterizzato da visioni apparentemente ossimoriche – che a seconda della latitudine possono indicare pazzia o regalità, sole o pericolo – e decodifica una molteplicità di sentimenti umani, quasi come se accomunasse le diversità attraverso la sua tensione cromatica che lo rende uno dei colori primari. In questo senso il giallo vive nelle radici del nostro pensiero come rappresentazione del collegamento fra calore e luce, l’origine stessa della vita.

Vox Day spalanca le porte della 9° edizione del Karel Music Expo ai film indipendenti nazionali e internazionali – la cosiddetta settima arte – con l’obiettivo di promuovere i giovani registi e cineasti impegnati nel campo dell’arte contemporanea attraverso fiction e cortometraggi animati fino a 20 minuti. La selezione vedrà la partecipazione di Daniela Lucato, regista, attrice e curatrice di KME MOVIE.

The 2015 edition of Karel Music Expo encapsulates and illuminates the tetralogy of colours featured in the Lakota Nation’s Medicine Wheel, which symbolizes unity through diversity and where white, black, red, and yellow represent the variety of human experiences and cultures through a secular journey.
“Yellow” can be experienced as a kind of oxymoron, characterized by visions that are seemingly emotional paradoxes, and may separately or simultaneously convey elements of eastern and western cultures, foolishness and wisdom, protection and threat, ecstasy and misery, light and darkness.
Although a primary colour, Yellow’s oneness appears to encode and express a wide expanse of human emotions, effortlessly but mysteriously able to merge the differences merely because of its purity.
Ultimately, the essence of Yellow endures in the deepest roots of our mind as a sign of the bridge between heat and light, the very Spirit of Life.
