Formed in 1989 in Trondheim, Norway, the band\u2019s core lineup today consists of <strong>Bent S\u00e6ther<\/strong> (vocals, bass, guitar, drums, and primary songwriter) and <strong>Hans Magnus &#8220;Snah&#8221; Ryan<\/strong> (guitar and vocals), while the original formation also included <strong>Kjell Runar Jenssen<\/strong>, later replaced by <strong>H\u00e5kon Gebhardt<\/strong>. Their debut album, Lobotomizer, was released in 1991, but their breakthrough came in 1993 with Demon Box, which gained significant acclaim in Norway. This was followed in 1994 by Timothy\u2019s Monster, the album that cemented Motorpsycho\u2019s place on the European rock scene. Subsequent releases, such as Blissard (1996), Angels And Daemons At Play (1997), and Trust Us (1998), confirmed the band as one of Europe\u2019s most intriguing acts, paving the way for a prolific career: to date, they have released twenty-nine studio albums, along with numerous live records, singles, and EPs. Among these, Child of the Future (2009)\u2014released exclusively on vinyl to celebrate the band\u2019s 20th anniversary\u2014was recorded with Steve Albini, the legendary producer who recently passed away. Over the last decade, Motorpsycho\u2019s output has ventured into progressive rock territories, with albums such as Here Be Monsters (2015), The Tower (2017), and the monumental The Crucible (2019).
