Its debut album, &#8220;Elephants at the Door&#8221;, received positive reviews, describing the project as a hybrid of musical styles. It garnered many excellent reviews online and helped the project build a solid fan base worldwide, thanks to its clear sound and distinctive style.<br \/>\n\u201cPlumy Tale\u201d, the first single released, was included by Joe Tangari among the 50 best songs of 2011 according to Pitchfork, while &#8220;Marmalade Kids&#8221; was chosen by NPR as Song of the Day. Dumbo Gets Mad&#8217;s music combines digital and analog synths with retro psych-pop influences, hypnotic 60s vibes, as well as rock, funk, and ethnic incursions, a musical project that creates fluid music open to various influences, defining its sound as a mix of psychedelic pop with elements of rock, funk, and ethnic music.
