Chris Thile

Mandolinist, singer, songwriter, composer, and winner of the MacArthur Fellowship (the prestigious ‘Genius Grant’), Chris Thile is a versatile musical talent, described by The Guardian as “a rarity: a complete musician”. He is a founding member of two of the most influential bands in American string music: “Punch Brothers” and “Nickel Creek”, and has collaborated with numerous world-renowned artists, including Yo-Yo Ma, Fiona Apple, and Brad Mehldau. With a broad and innovative musical vision, Chris Thile is contributing to the creation of a new American canon, bringing to life a sonic aesthetic that, as The New York Times wrote, is “a single joyous arc, where linear melody and vertical harmony merge into a delicate web of intangible beauty”. His solo tour will feature a diverse program, including selections from his highly regarded solo recordings of Bach’s Sonatas and Partitas, along with his unmistakable blend of classical, folk, and virtuosic improvisation.

Scheduled Performance: Monday, November 10th, 2025, at 09:00 PM
