Dumbo Gets Mad

Dumbo Gets Mad is a psychedelic pop project founded in early 2011 in Los Angeles by Luca Bergomi and now based in Italy. Its debut album, “Elephants at the Door”, received positive reviews, describing the project as a hybrid of musical styles. It garnered many excellent reviews online and helped the project build a solid fan base worldwide, thanks to its clear sound and distinctive style.
“Plumy Tale”, the first single released, was included by Joe Tangari among the 50 best songs of 2011 according to Pitchfork, while “Marmalade Kids” was chosen by NPR as Song of the Day. Dumbo Gets Mad’s music combines digital and analog synths with retro psych-pop influences, hypnotic 60s vibes, as well as rock, funk, and ethnic incursions, a musical project that creates fluid music open to various influences, defining its sound as a mix of psychedelic pop with elements of rock, funk, and ethnic music. In 2021, Dumbo Gets Mad collaborated with Marracash on the production of the album “Noi, Loro, Gli Altri”.
